
The highlight of our Christmas weekend was when we took the family to see The Nativity Story. It was a movie that brought tears to the eyes (and down the cheeks) and joy flooded our hearts!
We have been talking about it ever since. Watching the birth of Christ and the ridicule and scorn that befell Mary and Joseph and the holiness and humbleness they portrayed was, in a word, worshipful. We sat and worshiped... go see it, take the whole family- buy the DVD, too! It will make your soul sing "Joy to the World" not just at the annual Christmas Eve service, but the whole year through! His birth gives us hope for the New Year. Ironically, the entire world keeps time by the birth of our King. Hallelujah, what a Savior! I'll leave you with a line from the movie-

We wondered if we should or shouldn't take the kids since they're still so small and haven't seen a movie at the theatre yet... but afterwards we thought Lydia would have definitely liked it and learned a lot from it. Eric and I really enjoyed it.
