The message of the birth of Christ seems to me to be quite simple, and yet it usually gets lost in the noise of the season: Jesus came to save sinners. This is the best possible news we could ever receive, yet most miss it for they have yet to be brought to a "no kidding" awareness of their depravity before holy God. Isaac Watts got it in 1719 when he wrote, Joy To the World, the Lord is Come: No more let sins and sorrow grow, or thorns invest the ground. He comes to make, His blesssings flow, far as the curse is found . . . . So don't believe everything you read in those Christmas letters. If our f
amilies were that perfect, we wouldn't need a Savior :-) A blessed Christmas to all of you from us who are eternally grateful to the Father for His indescribable gift! "This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; and I am the worst of them." 1 Timothy 1:15
